If you haven’t jumped on the CBD massage train yet, you’re probably wondering what all the hype is about. As a leading CBD skincare brand created for spas, we can tell you why our spa partners, and their clients, keep coming back for more. Three words: Quality, wellness, and results. As huge advocates of massage, we knew early on the impact CBD would make in the wellness space and specifically when it came to spas. We already know some of the incredible benefits of massage include reducing stress, pain and muscle tension. Now, what if you could also incorporate the added benefits of CBD, which among many things include reducing inflammation, relieving pain and relaxing the overall nervous system? What you get when you marry massage and CBD is this incredible experience that takes any massage next level, and can be the gift that keeps on giving. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider adding CBD massages to your 2020 wellness routine.
Why is CBD so beneficial?
At a recent CBD Spa Summit in Denver one of the doctors on the panel best described our endocannabinoid system as a keyhole and CBD as it’s perfectly cut key. Part of the reason we can experience the benefits of cannabis is that the human body has a natural endocannabinoid system. This system runs throughout your entire body and regulates a variety of functions from sleep to the experience of pain. Endocannabinoids are released by cells all over the body on an as-needed basis and are especially concentrated in the central nervous and immune systems (or CB1 and CB2 receptors). These molecules help to calm neurons in the brain that are overactive and regulate the “back up” cells that go to fight infection or injury (resulting in inflammation), making sure they leave the area in a timely manner once healing has occurred. This is why it’s really important that when using a CBD topically, that it be transdermal. You want to ensure that the CBD has the ability to break through the skin barrier to allow it to reach your CB1 and CB2 receptors.
What questions should you consider before buying CBD?
If you’re considering buying a topical CBD you’ll want to know what the bioavailability is. What is the absorbency rate? If there is 1000mg of CBD in a bottle of cream or oil, but that CBD is not reaching your receptors, then it really isn’t doing much for your body from within. You might also want to ask where the CBD came from and if it was third-party tested.
What makes CAUSE+MEDIC different from other CBD products?
Right now, you could call this CBD industry of ours the “Wild Wild West”. With so many companies coming out with their own products that contain cannabis derivatives, and with so little regulation, we can’t encourage you enough to do your homework. Here are some ways that our company is different and why we’ve been fortunate enough to partner with the biggest, brightest and best spas in the country.
We Grow Our Own:
Growing our own hemp allows us full quality control. Using safe, organic farming practices are so important to us that we actually developed an all-natural plant cleanser and cultivator called Plant Aid. Using all-natural products, and keeping our plants away from harmful chemicals, allows us to ensure that there is nothing toxic in our products.
We remove 100% of the THC:
By definition, CBD products contain no more than a 0.3% concentration of THC – thus CBD products won’t cause a “high” feeling. We, however, remove 100% of the THC from products using a chromatography process. We do this because we know THC is immaterial when it comes to topicals, and because it was important to our 4 and 5-star spas. We also have professional athletes and members of the military that use CAUSE+MEDIC so we truly just want to make sure everyone feels good about doing so without the worry of failing a drug test.
Our Unmatched Quality:
We pair our pure CBD with other naturally soothing botanicals to aid in the healing process. All of our products are paraben-free, vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free. In addition, we have a patented formula that is water soluble, so that it penetrates through the skin barrier to the receptors.
Farm to bottle and made in the USA:
We are a vertically integrated company. This means we do everything A to Z. We farm in Tennessee and we manufacture in Colorado. Overseeing and managing every aspect of our company has allowed us to have quality control and remain cost-effective, two major principles of our CAUSE.
We operate with a CAUSE:
CAUSE+MEDIC is not just a good pun. All of the materials we use are recyclable; from the bottles to our shipping boxes and all the way down to packing tape. CAUSE also means corporate responsibly. We were one of the first American companies to partner with i=change, an organization that makes it simple to give back $1 with every sale while providing full transparency to our customers who shop with us. Simply select the non-profit that feels the most impactful to you upon checkout.
We hope this article has given you some incentive to consider adding CBD massages to your 2020 wellness routines.
